I’m doing this draft-to-post contest again, due to my prevalent katamaran. If you guys know MOVIE ON DEMAND (HBO and Cinemax do have it here), where you pick a movie and play it anytime you want – here in this blog I have this thing called Draft on Demand.
Mechanics: I’ll put here ALL my draft titles, the category it should be belonged, and what it’s all about, and you, dear reader, is entitled (actually, you are obliged) to cast TWO AND ONLY TWO (one’s the minimum, two’s the maximum) on one of the draft titles you’re interested enough to read so that I can finish the draft, and post it the next day. This is more like a wish-come-true or something, lol.
I first did this thing akin to the MOA Blogger’s Meet-Up last May, 2007 (if I’m not mistaken). Anyway.
1. The Cult (Personal History) – this post is about the “cult” of smokers (chain smokers, social smokers) and all about my personal history of smoking. It’s about how I got into a vice I never thought I’d do, how I controlled it, how I struggled and controlled myself NOT to do it, and those kind of stuff. Basically, and obviously, this post is all about smoking.
2. For the Excited (Narratives) – I abandoned making this post coz it sounds like trash: it’s about my own perspective of visualizing the future. It talks about surreal things – dreams I want to have, the strategies I’d use to get that dream, wanting to have a future house here in the States, and so on. See, it’s worth abandoning but I’d try my best to make this thing interesting if you picked this number.
3. Deal’s a Deal (Fiction) - It’s about two friends (a boy and a girl – I’m not really into lesbian/gay stories) who made a deal of kissing each other when the clock strikes twelve and New Year’s on. I know – this is about mushy and all that shit. Who the hell knows: someone’s craving for some mushy shit in this blog! LOL.
4. So, do you like Cheese? (Personal History, Gastronomic) – All about cheese. I ranked five (I think) kinds of cheese according to my preference, and why I liked them. ‘Nuff said, this isn’t really a good post (that’s why I haven’t posted this – it’s the first draft I’ve ever abandoned) but if you’re a cheese lover or something like it, you might as well pick this number.
5. All About Atticus (Books, Narratives) – It’s obviously a book review of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, but I also would talk about the apparent similarities of Dad and Atticus (father of the protagonist, Jean Louise “Scout” Finch) in this post. And of course, since this is a book review, I’ll… review the book (duh) including the emotions I felt (not arousal) while reading the book and that sort of thing.
6. My Beautiful Brother (Books, Past, Personal History, Emotional) – This one’s a planned draft (therefore not yet written since I’m a chapter away from the finish line with regard to this book) of a book review of David Sheff’s “Beautiful Boy”, which talks about a father (the author himself) and his journey through a son’s addiction. Then I’ll insert my own, uhh, temperaments (whatever that is) and opinions – similarities of my brother’s addiction to the son of the author’s – here. I expect it to be emotional, really.
7. Hershey (Narratives) – This post is all about our house dog here in New York – a brown Labrador named Hershey. Another planned draft – not yet written or whatsoever – which talks about my love for dogs (even if it’s not obvious) since I feel this special bond (like we’re brothers or something) while petting and caressing them. But oh, I dislike cats.
8. On Papal Radius (tentative title: Angst) – I got myself into trouble when I became a church collector, which conflicts my distaste towards my innate religion. This happened yesterday, we went to church (this is my first time to go inside a church after a year or so) and this old man needed another companion for collecting the money while using baskets. My Dad pushed me in shame! Goddamit, he’s the one pertained by the old man – NOT ME. Anyway, I was mad with my Dad yesterday. ‘Nuff said.
That’s it. Eight drafts. The DRAFT with the most VOTES would win the attention, and will be posted as a POST the next day (the evening of April 22, since New York’s time zone is different). My advanced thanks for the participants. Appreciated!

Hershey but put lots of pictures of the dog and none whatsoever of its masters. LOL
On Papal Radius because I’d like for you to swim from the US to the PH if tension between both of you become too great for comfort. Also, there’d better be mention of you stealing church cash or else!
two points for the cult draft.
the cult – kasi.. niloloko ko lang ang sarili ko na tumigil na akong magyosi.
