Or any other coffee shop. Or any restaurant with hot coffee in it to warm our intoxicated senses.
You see, five of us bloggers (Bleue, Rens, Aaron, Shari and I) went to Drew’s Katipunan for our much-awaited boozefest. Aaron and I met at Trinoma and went for a taxi to Katipunan. Meanwhile, Rens arrived earlier than what I’ve expected and waited impatiently for our arrival. I convincingly invited Shari over and bombarded Jhed with text messages regarding his last-minute back-out, yet he decided to go with his own night-out with his sister from Dubai and stuff – and that, I understand.
Wait, this is becoming very detailed.
Our conversation turned out to be more of a blogging conference than the standard drunk-to-drunk shit talks. Thanks to Shari for flaring up our opinions (and emotions as well) regarding the then-rampant personal blogging. It was quite overwhelming that all of us have shared the same sentiments with our topics (some are even “unbloggable”, but whatever).
We’ve had six or seven pitchers of different mixes: Jerbaxx, Mansanas ni Eba (which tastes BETTER than Jerbaxx), GinGrapes and I forgot the other stuff. And tons of pulutan: two platefuls of sisig, french fries, and a mountain of kropeck!

Let’s get this straight. I LOST MY WALLET ON THE GODDAM BUS. I only sensed it when the busboy almost shouted at my face. The bus was nearly emptied except for the three of us (including the driver). And since I’m on my state of trance (swear I got knocked out by the alcohol) to the point that I can’t walk straight and my world’s a one big whirl of lights and colors, I went straight to the bus door and went inside a jeep within a matter of seconds – without even thinking that I was holding my wallet when I slept at the bus.
Good thing the driver was absent-minded enough not to notice that I haven’t paid, though I rehearsed my speech about my lost wallet if ever he’d ask for my payment. Or maybe the driver’s keen enough to know I’m drunk and that I lost my wallet, but that’s not really plausible anyway.
Then I threw the lighter and the cigarette pack (all nineteen sticks of them) on my way home since I don’t really need them anyway. As I’ve said, I smoke no more (except during boozefests).
Now I’m quite troubled about my wallet’s loss since it’s worth a fortune. And I need to file a lost ATM at BDO and a lost ID at UPLB. Goddamit.

Ever since we got MTV China on our cable subscription (aside from MTV Philippines), I sort-of imitate their accents and stuff. And it’s fun doing it aloud so my Dad can hear it (he even asked me once WHAT ON EARTH am I saying?). A while ago I watched this music video from Huang Xiao Ming (thanks Neil, I don’t really read Chinese) and was touched by its story. I’mma make it a video narrative! Lol.

I finished reading Marquez’s “Love in the Time of Cholera” last Friday and I’m halfway finished with Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men“. More books to read!

Well at least we had fun! Pero nalungkot talaga ako, andami nawalan! Grr
waaah, potah, kakaguilty nga eh. at sobrang sakit ng ulo ko that i have to spend my sunday in bed, sayang tuloy ang araw!
btw, maganda nga yung music video, may similarity sya sa Because Im a Woman music video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=bgQAbICsc0k) pero mas maganda yan
Tangina, tol. Ang tanga natin. Balewala ang pamba-bash ko ng bloggers, na-bash ba naman ako ng lintek na buhay na ito. LOLERZ
Di kaya kailanganin mo ng legal documents for your ID?
Good thing I swore off drinking.. I guess?
AWW. Poor wallettt.
Ew. People still go to Drew’s? Do they still have the nastiest washroom ever?
Oh oh. Lagi kong naririnig yung Love in the Time of Cholera… pero lagi ko namang nakakalimutan.
tangina dito ka pala lumipat. hahaha.
ako… tatlo ang binabasa ko. madame bovary, giacomo casanova at 1984. hindi ko matapos bilang inaantok ako sa tatlo at nagpapalipat-lipat ako. o.O
oh – we should have gone?
@Helga: Yeah, people still go to Drew’s. And no, the washroom’s clean naman, expect for some few barfpools when the clock strikes to 11.
@Cars: Try reading it. It’s gooood, but it takes YEARS to finish.
Yan ang napapala ng… hekhekhekhek. Lol.
And yeah, it took me quite a while to read that. Medyo napupurol na kasi ang familiarization ko ng Trad Chinese chars.
Yep. It’s pretty much like Yeojainikka (Because I’m a Girl). Actually, this is the first video that got me hooked into Kpop. I wasn’t interested in Hallyu that much but I considered it a masterpiece.

Finally, you finally got your hands on Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Finally.
Hey! Francisco Sionil Jose naman!
lahat ng nawawala mababalik din. huwag ka mag-alala. para namang mabait kanag bata. hehe.
babalk din yun lahat sa iyo
@Neil: Oh, I’m not really… uhh… an avid fan of him. Though everyone’s telling me to try one of his books.
@iamsamjuan: Salamat! Lol, mabait akong bata?!
I finished reading Atonement by Ian McEwan. I didn’t get to watch the movie though. Ang sad! Haha. I really want to read that Gabriel Garcia Marquez book. If you want some other reads, try Cat’s Eye by Margaret Atwood. She’s pretty good, I did that book for my book review in my high school years.
Read Orwell if you haven’t yet. :p
And Drews’ bathroom is CLEAN? You call that CLEAN? Gawd, no! Haha!
hahahaha. kawawa naman. pasama naman sa next blogging ‘conference’ nyo oh! hahaha. kidding. ^^
@Layla: I think we need to TRADE books sometime, ha?
@Shari: Oh yeah, yung Animal Farm ba yun? And YEAH, for me IT’S CLEAN! LOL. Nasanay lang ako siguro sa dorm!
@Kelreel: May IBLOG4 sa err.. sa April 20-something. PUNTA KA. You’ll sure meet a lot of great minds and soon-to-be-friends as well!
